The Principle Of Design is the rules a designer must follow to create an effective and attractive composition. Design differs from art in that it has to have a purpose.
The Principle Of Design are as follows
1.Alignment Design :
It allows us to create order and organization. Aligning elements allows them to create a visual connection with each other.
2.Balance Design :
Balance in design is similar to a balance in physics.
A large shape close to the center can be balanced by a small shape close to the edge. Balance provides stability and structure to a design. It’s the weight distributed in the design by the placement of your elements. There are three types of balance.
- Symmetrical Balance
- Asymmetrical balance
- Radial balance
3.Contrast Design :
Opposite colors on the color wheel, or value light / dark, or direction – horizontal / vertical. Contrast allows us to emphasize or highlight key elements in your design.
4.Emphasis Design :
Emphasis is defined as an area or object within the artwork that draws attention or popup and becomes a focal point. Subordination is defined as minimizing or toning down other composition elements in order to bring attention to the focal point.
5.Gestalt theory :
Describing how humans typically see objects by grouping similar elements called as a gestalt
6.Harmony Design :
Harmony is combination of repetition and movement
Movement in design is the apparent flow of elements that leads the eye from one object to another and path the viewer’s eye takes through the work of art.
The planning of design start with settling Shape,in which design will be arranged .
the dimension or area of layout is an important design decision.
Proximity refers to the local relationship between the elements of the design. therefore, The rules of closeness are pretty simple: things that are related should be nearer to each other, and things that are unrelated should be placed further from each other.
Rhythm can help control the pace of flow in a composition .its a pattern movement.
repetition simply means the reusing of the same or similar elements throughout your design. Repetition of certain design elements in a slide or among a deck of slides will bring a clear sense of unity, consistency, cohesiveness.
12.White Space /Negative space :
Negetive space is a very intresting visual many companies logo have used negative space design.
when left out space create some visuals that is called Negative space
Unity is a measure of how effectively every aspect of your design works collectively. It describes the general design, and whether or not its elements work collectively in accordance to speak a single concept. Unity is an important Principle of Design as a result of it brings your design collectively as one Connected unit.
